Shruti Iyer
I'm a A 22 year old, 4th year medical student studying in the South of India who is passionate about holistic healthcare. My goal is to pursue a residency in Internal Medicine in the United States. As someone who has benefited from paying attention to her mental health, I am also an ardent advocate for the same. I'm at the top of my class with numerous awards for academics, debate and writing. I volunteer for Udayan Care and Ullas Trust, a mentoring program for underprivileged kids in India, where we counsel and train students from less fortunate backgrounds. I have published two research papers - one on alcohol addiction and another on eating disorders in reputed medical journals. I also write articles and poetry on
