This photograph is in the public domain in Iceland, because a period of 50 years has elapsed from the year of creation. Article 49 of the Icelandic Copyright Act (73/1972-2019) specifies that photographs not considered to be "works of art" become public domain 50 years after the end of the year in which it was taken. The copyright in a photograph that is not an artistic work expires 50 years after the end of the year in which it was taken. See Commons:Copyright rules by territory/Iceland for details. If you think this picture should be considered a work of art, nominate it for deletion. The material with this copyright tag should not be used on the German-language Wikipedia. It has been suggested that this template should be merged into Template:PD-Iceland50. (discuss) Reason: This appears to be a newer duplicate of {{PD-Iceland50}}. Both templates explain what kind of works are protected for 50 years since creation in Iceland and, in addition, both are based in the same Article/Section of the Icelandic Copyright Act (n.49).
