Description

In the shape of a woman, Vertumnus talks to his beloved Pomona. With his right hand Vertumnus grabs a vine. Between his legs rests a walking stick. Pomona lays under an apple tree and holds a knife in her right hand with which she harvests fruit. On the foreground, right, are aples, pears and grapes.


The image has been digitally changed from the Rijksmuseum original, see alternate version. The EXIF data on the file has also been changed.
